A Variety of Dressing Products Got Approved Successively Accelerating the Product Pipeline
A total of eight gynecological dressing products developed by the Group’s MeiYan KongJian Biotechnology (Jilin) Co., Ltd. (“MeiYan KongJian”) have been granted medical device registration certificates by the National Medical Products Administration of the People’s Republic of China (“China”).
The approved gynecological dressing products include gynecological antibacterial gel dressing, gynecological care gel, carbomer vaginal gel, carbomer gynecological gel, vaginal antibacterial liquid dressing, gynecological douche liquid dressing, vaginal antibacterial gel and gynecological guide packing dressing. All eight products are registered as Class II medical devices, which can prevent the colonization of pathogenic microorganisms by forming a protective gel film on the vaginal wall and promote vaginal self-cleaning and wound healing. The eight gynecological dressing products are self-developed by MeiYan KongJian focusing on helping to solve the problems of gynecological infections and infections after intimate medical aesthetic surgery, which not only can make the post-operative effect more ideal through suitable, safe and non-stimulating assistance, but also have good synergy with other intimate medical aesthetic products of the Group, including the incontinence sling kit manufactured by Dongbang Medical Co., Ltd. of Korea. Its launch within the year could bring an effective and complementary product portfolio.
According to IQVIA data, the market size of China’s gynecological anti-infective topical drugs for hospitals in 2011 was RMB5.42 billion, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.7% over the past 5 years. Among them, the market size of chemical topical drugs is RMB3.84 billion, with a CAGR of 13.2% in the past 5 years; the market size of other preparations (gels, dressings, etc.) is RMB6.68 million, with a CAGR of 18.8% in the past 5 years.
